The establishment of Elledi S.n.c., which is an acronym composed of the first letters of the founding partners' last names. It was a small, artisanal laboratory, with two old ovens in which all types of wafers and biscuits were made (Amaretti, shortbread biscuits, lady fingers, and more).
The company grew rapidly, with an exclusive focus on wafers.
The company became a Società per Azioni (joint stock company) in 1980.
Another decade of growth followed, in two phases that succeeded one another. Shortbread biscuits and lady fingers are added to the production mix.
Gastone Lago, one of the three founders, takes over the management of the company.
In that same year, small tarts, doughnuts and tarts were added to the production mix.
A new plant was opened in Tombolo.
Inauguration of the
new administrative and commercial headquarters
in Galliera Veneta.
A series of significant investments aimed at improving the quality of the products and the production capacity begins.
The product range is expanded, thanks to the addition of new tastes and forms. Particular attention is placed on creating a state of the art facility aimed at refining the cream fillings used.
Launch of the new logo and the new Dolci Emozioni claim.
New lines for the production of wafers with icing are added, to encourage the use of wafers as an excellent industrial party base.
Launch of the new brand, named after the founder Gastone Lago.
Restyling of the Gastone Lago brand in conjunction with the change of the company business name, now Lago Group S.p.A.
